Merry Christmas and I hope you have a happy new year celebration. Not much to report right now. I’m just getting caught up after taking a few days off.
Anyone have any information they’d like to share?

Attention Rams Reunion fans. We’ve got another website for you. But I can’t give you the link yet until it’s ready. This is just a tease. Basically, this site will handle our registration and other duties of managing the reunion.
Our committee will be meeting again next week. Maybe I can post it then.
The planning committee is meeting as I’m writing. In fact, I’m dialed in on a conference call. Nancy says she’ll send me the actual meeting minutes and a picture of herself that I can share (don’t forget now).
Plans are firming up as I posted previously. I really don’t have much new to post right now. I think the main thing you can help with is to spread the word to any of our classmates that you are still in contact with and we’ll probably post lists of people we’re looking for too.
That’s all for now.
Hello Rams Fans. This is a call for your assistance. I think we’ve been getting good feedback on the idea of our “Now & Thens.” In order for me to do them I need a current picture of you. Please don’t be shy. Inquiring minds want to see what you look like after 30 years. Be proud of your maturity.
Besides sending me pics another very useful thing would be to let other class members know about this website. Please pass it along and encourage them to visit.
Even if you don’t want to send me a photo (I promise I’ll make you look good) just tell me what you’re doing so I can let our other classmates know. And feel free to suggest things I can write about.
Server issues. Hello again folks. Some of you may have noticed that the site was down for most of the last day. No one seems to know what happened but it seems to be working now.
As soon as I get an update from our committee on the results of their meeting last week I’ll have more for you. Sorry for the problems.
I’m back and will get “caught up” by this weekend. I’ve got a number of emails to look through and will have more information posted as soon as I can.
Hello from Kansas City, MO. I’m going to be a little light on the blog activity until the middle of next week at least so keep on commenting and emailing your ideas and suggestions. I’m at back to back annual conventions and then it’s off to the woods for a couple days (to hide out from the real world).
Thanks to everyone who’s visited. Tell others. It’s a word of mouth thing!
More writers for RamsReunion2006. I didn’t think of this before but I can set up user accounts which will let people other than me post their own articles to the blog. I’m open to the idea if you are.
I don’t think we want to have too many people doing it for a couple of reasons. Mainly for manageability. I’m going to set Nancy up as one.
If you’d like to become a “user” and write your own articles please email me and I’ll get it set up. There are some guidelines I’ll need to provide you with that have to do with things like images but I’m not too worried about it. I’ll still be the blogmaster, which means I have complete control!!!!
I just heard from Maryalice Sutcliffe DeCamp (Pennsylvania) for the first time in 30 years. The word is getting around.
So who knows what happened to all the teachers who were there when we were? Do we want to invite them? How do we find them?
I see Mr. Sherman was mentioned in the comments too. What was our (affectionate) nickname for him? Sherm the ???
Other teacher nicknames?
One idea that has come up is to see who your favorite teacher was and why. Here’s some random names:
Mr. Edward Brown
Mr. James Henson
Mrs. L. Bell
Miss Kay Criner
Mr. Ed Repulski
Mr. Jack Crew
Mr. Joseph Bauman
Mr. Sherman Stratton
Mrs. Betty Sanders
Mr. Kevin Flynn
Mr. Charles Brooks
Mrs. Sandra Feinsod
Miss Barbara Reed
Mr. Rober Marvin
Mrs. Joan Tatum
Who are they and do you remember any of them? Feel free to comment and mention others. I know pictures would be good but I’m not in a scanning mood right now. Be nice (or not).
This may be a little small but you get the “picture.” Actually Bennie has sent in some photos and this is one of them. Please feel free to submit your own from anytime, including way back when.
No date yet for those who have asked. I’m sure that will be forthcoming though. Be patient.
Well I thought I could send out an announcement by email through Classmates to those of us who have an account there. However, they don’t let you do that. It’s part of their wanting to keep you in their system.
I haven’t heard anything lately from our committee so I’m not sure where things stand but hopefully we’ll have more news soon.
New feature enabled on Rams Reunion. Now you can subscribe and automatically get all the updates. How you ask? Well, first you need a news aggregator like NewsGator or Bloglines. They’re free or you can pay a small fee for the expanded versions. They’re easy to install and use.
Once you have one of these babies (I use NewsGator), then you subscribe to the “Site Feed,” which you’ll find in the right sidebar. You’ll want to insert the url for the feed – /wp-rss2.php – into the correct place in the news aggregtor software you’re using.
Then all you have to do is check your feeds and you’ll get any updates I post to the site! It’s really easy and if you have any questions just email me.
I’m really looking forward to developing this site some more. We need to get some information on the reunion but I know that we’re still in planning.
My wife, Cindy, had her 30th reunion this past month and started a blog about it. You can see what she’s doing with it here.
I will start looking for some more stuff to post and would welcome anything you’d like to send me.
I didn’t even know there was a website for the Riverview High School Kiltie Band until I just found it on Google. Check it out. It needs some updating but it’s got a lot of pages and information and a few pics.
How many of you know about Fig Newtons? Do you remember anything about Fig Newtons from high school? If so, you need to make a comment and let us know.
A little trivia. When were Fig Newtons first made?
This will be the official website for the Riverview Rams High School class of 1976, 30 year reunion. Hang on while we tweak the site over the next couple weeks.
