Your Favorite And Not Favorite Teachers

Category: Miscellaneous — Chuck @ 10:06 pm

One idea that has come up is to see who your favorite teacher was and why. Here’s some random names:

Mr. Edward Brown
Mr. James Henson
Mrs. L. Bell
Miss Kay Criner
Mr. Ed Repulski
Mr. Jack Crew
Mr. Joseph Bauman
Mr. Sherman Stratton
Mrs. Betty Sanders
Mr. Kevin Flynn
Mr. Charles Brooks
Mrs. Sandra Feinsod
Miss Barbara Reed
Mr. Rober Marvin
Mrs. Joan Tatum

Who are they and do you remember any of them? Feel free to comment and mention others. I know pictures would be good but I’m not in a scanning mood right now. Be nice (or not).

  1. I didn’t see Chuck Maggio and Ron Carr. And Sherm Stratton. Those were classic ’70’s guys… and Eldredge Carnes. 🙂

  2. Mr. Bauman, Spanish Teacher, was my favorite. He spoked Spanish so well, I always thought he was Latin. He, including an attractive exchange student from Colombia, inspired me to learn.

  3. Winnifred Dumbaugh was my favorite teacher. I was in her creative writing class in 11th grade and in her advanced humanities class in 12th grade. She was great. And what a manicure she always sported!

  4. Mr. Varella, Spanish teacher, and crazy commentator. Believe he may have had an arrest in later yrs that could have taken him out of the teaching profession. Can anyone confirm?

  6. Tom- I think that may have been his son. I can personally tell you that the guy who taught Drivers Ed was finally nabbed in Venice for doing the same things he did when we were his “students”. His name was Sahagian, and I can remember changing into long pants from a skirt, whenever I had Drivers Ed with him on that day.

  7. My mom (Mrs. Kimble) wasn’t a teacher – but she did affect a lot of people She worked at Riverview as the band administrator from 1972-1989 as a volunteer. I also want to let all of my fellow “Kilties” know that she loved it and loved the Kilties. If y’all would like to share memories about her I would love it.
